New Executive Director Welcome!

Stephanie MacLaren is to join the Prince Edward Family Health Team in July as its new executive director.

MacLaren brings experience as a leader in primary healthcare, and a strong background and passion for community health and development.

Most recently she has held the role of Interim E.D. at the South East Toronto Family Health Team which honed her appreciation of the role of primary care in creating a system of integrated person-centred care and affirmed the importance of strong community partnerships in realizing this potential.

She has held posts as the Regional Director for the Toronto Central LHIN Diabetes Regional Coordination Centre, DEC NET Program Manager at the South Riverdale Community Health Centre, and as the community Development and Research Coordinator at Toronto East General Hospital.

She holds a Masters degree in Environmental Studies with a particular interest in systems theory.

MacLaren is originally from Nova Scotia, and told the PEFHT she is delighted to find such a great job that allows her to get back to her rural roots.
