Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day 2019

Pink Shirt Day began in 2007, in Cambridge, Nova Scotia, when David Sheppard and Travis Price, two grade 12 students, heard that a grade 9 student was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. They knew they wanted to do something to help and they realized no one would be bullied if everyone wore pink. That night they got the message out to as many people as they could and bought as much pink clothing as they could find.

The next day over 800 of the 1000 students in their school were wearing something pink.

This is an incredible day for the empowerment of youth to change an entire culture. Thank you
